UTC CHAIRMAN VISITS INFOTECH AEROSPACE SERVICES PUERTO RICO

ISABELA, PUERTO RICO (February 16, 2007) --- United Technologies Corporation Chairman and Chief Executive Officer George David recently visited Infotech Aerospace Services in Puerto Rico where he toured the facility, met with employees, reviewed ACE initiatives and engineering work, and held a question and answer session.



Infotech Aerospace Services provides UTC businesses with aerospace design and engineering services. Infotech Aerospace Services is a joint venture of Pratt & Whitney and Infotech Enterprises Limited.

“It was a privilege and honor for our team to show the Chairman the value that we offer our customers and how our successes are a result of ACE continuous improvement tools” said Rita Peralta, General Manager of Infotech Aerospace Services.

David explained productivity means working smarter and better, not harder. He cited Carrier's increased unit output of more than 300 percent from the early 1990s to 2005 with only a 9 percent workforce increase.

Success comes from within you, not from outside influences, David said, noting that passion is more important than ambition. David encouraged Infotech Aerospace Services employees to continue developing their capability through education and work experiences.
